Dear2 has 1 Singnet account, 1 email account, 1 mail account, 1 gmail account and 1 company mail account. These 5 emails accounts, is the minimum accounts that I have, not including those additional yahoo, another gmail and other company’s business partners email accounts. How many email accounts do you have?
In today’s corporate world, you become the rare if you don’t use emails extensively. Business correspondences, leisure information, all kinds of information and data are communicated via email. Some people say emails are there to protect yourself. In a way it’s true, cos while you relied on the email you sent to fight your case, other people also claim their rights based on what you’ve written and what they’ve written. “Everything is in black and white”
Emails also serve to log down details. Can you remember the product specifications launched 2 years ago? And can you recall the minutes of the meeting held last new year? The email does remember.
Since you and I know that emails, especially those of business context, carry so much weight, today and many many years later, then why are we still replying freely away, without doing the necessary logic or expression checks? If you choose to use vague terms, intentionally or unintentionally, such that I cannot even comprehend the meaning of your explanation, then the whole purpose towards you drafting this email becomes meaningless. It is as good as telling me that you ‘bo chap’.
Before you click the next ’send’ button, put yourself in the recipient’s perspective and see if you’ll like to receive such emails.
